Willie Lowell Collins, Sr. age 89, of Ridgeway, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Sovah Health Care, Martinsville.  He was born in Patrick County, November 9, 1928 to the late Frank Lowell and Pencie Martin Collins.  He was also preceded in death by a sister, Erma Mills.

He retired from E.I. DuPont and he was a member of Wilson Street Pentecostal Holiness Church.  He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korea Era.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Aileen B. Collins of the home, a son, Willie L. Collins, Jr. and wife Janet of Kernersville, NC, a daughter, Stephanie Annette Collins Clark and husband, Kenton of Saudi-Arabia, one sister, Alma C. Joyce of Sanville, six grandchildren, Benjamin, Virginia and Elizabeth Clark and Jonathan, Joshua and Vicky Collins.

His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Cassell officiating the service.  Interment will follow with military rites presented by the Martinsville Henry County Veterans Honor Guard in the Roselawn Burial Park.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the chapel of Roselawn.  Online condolences may be made to www.roselawnchapelfuneralhome.com .
