Willie "Maynard" Biggs, age 82, of 332 Gray Leaf Circle, Martinsville, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. He was born in Henry County on April 11, 1933 to the late William Elmer and Nora Ellis Biggs.

He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and Nascar racing. He was a supervisor in the dye house for 38 years at Tultex.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie Hundley Biggs of the home, two daughters, Deborah Bryant of Charlottesville and Donna Biggs of Ridgeway, one granddaughter, Alicia Bolick of Charlottesville, and two great grandchildren, Jude and Wren Bolick both of Charlottesville.

His funeral service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Elder LaRay Smith officiating the service and interment following in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 6-8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn and at other times at the home.
