William "Bill" Hill, age 85, of 1202 Westover Drive, Collinsville, died on Tuesday, May 04, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. He was born on December 27, 1924 in Delaware to the late Clarence Manning Hill and Nora Ellen Moore Hill. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by four brothers, Thomas, Victor, Lee, and Charles Hill, and two sisters, Elizabeth Stromberg and Nora Hartsville.
He was a member of Day Star Ministries. He had worked as a sheet metal mechanic for Prillaman and Pace and for Virginia Blower Co..
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Riggs Hill of the home, a son, Clarence G. Hill of Martinsville, a daughter, Karen Hill Cozart of Bassett, two brothers, John Hill of Delaware and Freddie Hill of Florida, five grandchildren, Amy, Brent and William Hill and Lisa and William Cozart, and three great-grandchildren, Christopher, William and Savannah.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 08, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Sammy Caldwell officiating the service. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 07, 2010 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn and at other times at the home on 1202 Westover Drive, Collinsville.
