Obituary

William Harman Wynn, Jr. age 85, of Ridgeway, died on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Tazewell to the late William Harman Wynn, Sr. and Vivian Mae Sayers Wynn on February 28, 1930. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Pena Wynn, a son, William H. Wynn, III, his brother, John Wynn and his sister, Francis Smallwood.

He was of the Baptist faith. He had been a truck driver until disability and was a member of the Teamster Union. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Demolitions Expert.

He is survived by a special friend, Yvonne Bateman of Ridgeway, a grandson and his spouse, Justin and Amy Wynn of Roanoke, two great-grandchildren, Alden Wynn and Charli Wynn both of Roanoke and a son, Leslie Wynn of Buchanan.

Mr. Wynn's graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park with military honors presented by the Martinsville Henry County Veterans Honor Guard. His visitation will be for one hour prior to the service in the Chapel of Roselawn.
