Walter Marshall Shelton age 41 of Spencer, died suddenly Monday April 28, at his home. He was born July 4, 1972 in Martinsville to Walter J. "Bug" Shelton, Jr. of Martinsville, and the late Rita Ann Cochran Shelton. In addition to his Mother, he was also predeceased by one brother, Tommy Wayne Shelton.

He was a truck driver for over 20 years with WLA Trucking Company, and attended Gospel Roads Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he is also survived by his wife Lisa Burks Shelton of the home, one daughter, Shenandoah Shelton also of the home, one step daughter, Tristin Burks of Spencer, one brother, Terry Shane Shelton of WV, two sisters, Jessica Marshall and Raquel Gilley, both of Danville.

A memorial service for Marshall will be held on Friday May 2, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Bill Richardson officiating.
