Virginia Smith Robertson, age 91, formerly of 908 Chalmers Street, Martinsville, died on October 01, 2012 at Pioneer Hospital in Stuart. She was born in Stokes County, NC to the late Julius F. and Della Mae Bowles Smith on June 26, 1921. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband, Warren Robertson, a brother, Julius Alexander Smith, and four sisters, Helen Taylor, Wyona Milligan, Hazel Dempsey and Mary Ruth Hill.
She was a charter member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, and retired from DuPont with over 30 years service.
She is survived by her daughter, Mollie Stone of Greensboro, NC, and a brother, Roger Lee Smith of Danville.
Her graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 03, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Steven Greer and Pastor Jimmy Wood officiating the service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.
