Virginia Mae Hill Hundley age 89 of 114 Clarence Martin Road, Bassett, died Tuesday September 14, 2010 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County. She was born September 27, 1920 in Galax to the late Thomas Walter and Dora Isom Hill. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Luther Hundley, five sisters, Frances Lineberry, Molly Louise Benfield, Bernice Griffin, Geneva Lineberry, and Helen McMillian, and her brother, Wesley Hill.
She was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith, and had previously worked at J.D. Bassett Manufacturing.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Walter Hundley of Patrick County, one daughter, Nancy Louise Clark of Bassett, seven grandchildren, one great grandson, and one great-great grandson.
The funeral service will be Thursday September 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Bishop Dwayne Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday September 15, 2010 in the Chapel of Roselawn from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, and at other times at the home on Clarence Martin Road, Bassett.
