Virginia Mae Haynes Barker, 82, of Patrick Springs, went to her heavenly home on Friday, July, 28th 2023. She was the eldest child of eight born to the late William Leftwich and Beulah Bledsoe Haynes.  She always put God first and then family. Her kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met and she always looked for the good in people.
She was a wonderful daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She has joined our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, her mother and father, brother, Billy Haynes, and Sister Faye Hayes in heaven and will be waiting with open arms when it is our turn to go.
Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 65 years, Lloyd J. Barker, one daughter, Vickie Turner, Sons, Dwayne and Kenneth Barker, brother, and sister-in-law, Bobby and Debbie Haynes, sisters, and brother-in-law, Marie and David Richardson, Hazel Motley, Deanie Campbell, and Rhonda Haynes, seven grandchildren; John Turner, Joshua Turner, Christopher Barker, Tyler Barker, Victoria Manns, Jordan Barker, and Indya Barker, fourteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Our world will not be the same without her, but her memory will be cherished forever.
The Family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Peoples Church of The Living God in Bassett and a celebration of life service will be held 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the Peoples Church of The Living God in Bassett, with Pastor Dwayne Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
