Vera Wyatt Freeman, age 99, formerly of 371 Murphy Road, Collinsville, died on November 13, 2011 at the Blue Ridge Rehab Center, Martinsville. She was born on April 18, 1912 in Patrick County to the late Posey S. and Deanie Tuggle Wyatt. In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by her husband, James Freeman and two brothers, William Daniel Wyatt and Robert Wyatt.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville and had retired after 45 years service with Bassett Walker.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Freeman of Collinsville, a brother, Posey Lincoln Wyatt of Martinsville, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home. The Rev. Tracey Freeman will officiate the service and interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn on Tuesday.
