Vedna Hunt Shively Wiggington, age 93 of Martinsville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 22, 2015. She was born in Bassett on August 29, 1922 to the late James Allie and Mary Frances Cundiff Hunt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Swanson Shively and her second husband James Wiggington, a son, Mark Shively and a sister, Alease Hammock.

She was of the Baptist faith and had retired with over 25 years of service form Bassett-Walker.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie and Jack Shively both of Martinsville, Bobby Shively of Collinsville, and Swanson Shively, Jr. of Axton, a daughter, Carolyn Baughman of GA, a brother, Tazwell Hunt of Martinsville, two sisters, Kathleen Sebra and Sunny Saunders both of Salem, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Her Service of Remembrance will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. J.D. Harmon officiating the service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
