Tommie Lee Hairston, age 66 of Martinsville, went home to be with the Lord on May 04, 2016. He was born December 09, 1949 in Martinsville to the late Crawford Lee and Sarah Frances Price Hairston.

He was a graduate of G.W. Carver High School Class of 1969. He was a dedicated worker and member of Galilean House of Worship where he served on the Usher board the Male Choir the Kitchen committee and was president of the Helping Hands. He retired from Liberty Textiles in Eden, NC.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Cynthia A. Hairston of the home, three sons, Eugene and wife Barbara Gravely of Martinsville, Pierre and wife Robin Hairston of Ruffin, NC and Phillip Hairston of Hilton Head, SC., four brothers, Henry and wife Martha Schoolfield of Summerville, SC, James and wife Jincy Schoolfield of Martinsville, William and wife Jean Price of Martinsville, and Robert and wife Gwen Price of New York, two sisters, Rebecca Schoolfield of New York and Blanche Hairston of Martinsville, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, a special niece, Nikki Taylor and a host of nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be Saturday, May 07, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Galilean House of Worship with Dr. Mike Penn officiating the service. The family will receive friends for one half hour before the service at the church. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
