Thelma Rae Skeens Jones, age 62, of 383 Pine Valley Drive, Bassett, died on March 07, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Princeton, West Virginia on March 27, 1949 to the late Raymond and Mattie Brown Skeens. In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by a son, John J. Clark and a sister, Bonnie S. Alley.
She was of the Baptist faith and had worked at Tultex before becoming disabled.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Larry Jones of the home, a son, Curtis Lee Clark, Jr. of the home, a daughter, Barbara Clark Flippen of Martinsville, a brother, Larry Brown of Maryland, a sister, Mildred Jones of Princeton, West Virginia, seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Moore officiating the service and interment following in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn.
