Thelma Hopkins Bryant age 79 of 1920 Old Chatham Road Martinsville passed away Saturday Feb. 22, 2014 at her home. She was born March 14, 1934 in Henry County to the late Samuel Hopkins and the late Leola Campbell Hopkins Moore. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her son David Bryant.
She was a graduate of J. D. Bassett High School, and had been an active member of Chatham Heights Church of Christ for over 28 years. She and her husband Bob were the founding owner/operators of Bryant Radio Supply in Collinsville.
She is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Bryant of the home, her son and daughter in law, Joe and Robin Bryant of Martinsville, her daughter, Janet Bryant of Martinsville, three grandchildren, Tennille and Rodney Nichols of Collinsville, Joey Bryant, Jr. of Collinsville, and his fianc, Amanda Ashby, Tiffany and Cody Hodge of Canal Winchester, Ohio, three great grandchildren, Hunter Nichols, Aly Deal and Macy Deal, one brother, Herman Hopkins of Ridgeway, and one sister, Nancy Scott of Collinsville.
The funeral service will be Tuesday Feb. 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Evangelist John Berlin officiating. Interment will follow the service in Roselawn Burial Park. Pallbearers will be Timmy Scott, Robert Scott, Donald Scott, Hunter Nichols, Rusty Hartsock, Kenny Hopkins, Eddie Cassady, and Elijah Ashby. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday Feb. 24, 2014 in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 1920 Old Chatham Road, Martinsville.
