Thelma Cooper Bowles age 97, of 139 Ramble Road, Collinsville died Sunday June 3, 2012 in Martinsville. She was born Jan. 24, 1915 in Nicholson County Pennsylvania to the late Charles Arnold and Odessa Morgan Fralin Cooper. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, John W. Bowles in 1995, one daughter, Aliene Frances Bowles Click, one brother, Raymond Cooper, and one sister, Louise Helen Haynes.
She was a charter member of Clearview Wesleyan Church, and retired from Pannill Knitting with 40 years of service.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jean Bowles Joyce of Collinsville, Special friend and caregiver, Jeanette Harris of Martinsville, four grandchildren, Gabriel Ingram and his spouse, Alyssa Tonnessen, Joshua and Sophia Ingram, Stephanie and Derek Ard, and Steven Click, and six great grandchildren, Ada Ingram, Anais Ingram, Brice Ard, Alyssa Ard, Rachel Click, and Zoe Click.
The funeral service will be Wednesday June 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. John Holland officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel and at other times at the home of her daughter at 139 Ramble Road, Collinsville.
