Steven "Steve" Dudley Merriman, age 68, of Ridgeway, passed away on August 1, 2018 at his residence.  He was born in Martinsville on July 31, 1950  to the late Marion Dudley and Sallie Ruth Jones Merriman.

He was a graduate of Fieldale Collinsville High School class of 1968.  He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and had retired from Prillaman & Pace with over 30 years of service.

He is survived by his daughter, Julie Dawn Merriman of Jacksonville, FL, brothers, Mike Merriman of Martinsville and Tim Merriman of Axton, sisters, Jennie Cox of Ridgeway and Celeste Anderson of Stuarts Draft, VA.

His funeral service will be held on Friday August 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Karen Shelton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park with military honors by the Martinsville Henry County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday.  Online condolences may be made to www.roselawnchapelfuneralhome.com .
