Shirley Wright Mills, age 79 of Stones Dairy Road, Bassett, passed away on March 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Henry County on October 28, 1936 to the late Lemuel Peter and Elizabeth Clemons Wright. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Turner.

She was a member of Rich Acres Christian Church and had retired from E.I. DuPont with over 30 years of service in the beaming area. She attended Drewry Mason High School.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Mills and wife JoAnn of Ridgeway, and Alan Mills of Bassett, two grandchildren, Minister Steven Mills and wife Ashley of Swan Quarter, NC, Nicole and husband Ben Hankins of Martinsville, two great grandchildren, Brinlee and Wake Mills both of Swan Quarter, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Thursday March 17, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Roselawn Chapel with Ministers Tim Hunt and Steven Mills officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.
