Sherry Louise Spencer age 43 0f 1400 Serenity Drive Martinsville, died Friday January 22, 2010 at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Rocky Mount, VA. She was born November 24, 1966 in Martinsville.
She was predeceased by her grand parents Louise M. Hanks and John O. Joyce, and her great grandfather Moir B. Martin.
She was a graduate of Laurel Park High School Class of 1985, and was a member of One Accord Baptist Church. She worked for DDI in shipping and receiving until becoming disabled.
She is survived by her mother and step father, Jeanne and Michael Gene Joyce of Axton, her boyfriend Kevin Warren of the home, her great grandmother Bernice L. Martin of Martinsville, one daughter, Brittany Leanne Joyce of Axton, one brother Michael Kelly Joyce of Axton, two step-sisters, Deborah Blankenship and Michele Handy of Axton.
The funeral service will be Monday Jan. 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Phillip Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday Jan. 24, 2010 at One Accord Baptist Church, and at other times at the home of her mother and step-father at 5864 Irisburg Road, Axton.
