Ruth Siebrecht Ramsey, age 69, of 513 East Church St., Martinsville, died on March 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Hettensen, Germany on November 22, 1940 to Johann Jakob Siebrecht and Auguste Charlotte Siebrecht. She resided in Frankfurt until she moved to the U.S. in 1988 where she lived in Martinsville. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Elijah G. Ramsey, Jr. and brother, Paul Siebrecht.
She was of the Christian faith and a homemaker.
Surviving are her family in Germany, sister Emilie (Mila) Siebrecht a niece, a grand-niece, and a sister-in-law, her U.S. family, three step-children, Lou Anne Black of Ridgeway, Rhonda Barlow of Brandon, FL and Elijah G. Ramsey, III of Tazewell, three step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Rosealwn Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Karen Willis of Sunny Home Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn and at other times at the home on 513 East Church Street, Martinsville.
