Obituary

Ronnie Claude Honaker age 73 of Martinsville died Thursday, May 1st at his home. He was born November 25, 1940 in Canebrake, WV to the late Claude Henry and Hattie Mae James Honaker. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister Brenda Honaker.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and served in the United States Air Force for four years..
He graduated from Big Creek High School in War, WV, and he retired from Washington Gas Co. with over 30 years service as a field inspector.

He is survived by his wife Barbara Carlock Honaker of the home, two stepsons, Ronald Tickle of Fairfax and Michael Tickle of GA, five step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, one aunt Kathlene McConnel, two cousins, Kathy and Michelle, sister in laws and brother in laws, Betty and Darrell Overby, and Delbert E. and Rita Swift of Martinsville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be Friday May 2 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Jim Steele officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park with full Military Honors by the Martinsville/Henry County Veterans Honor Guard and the U.S. Army. Honor Guard Pallbearers will be, James Spencer, Daniel Spencer, Mike Kodenski, Donald Myers, William Smith, Thomas Spencer, and Walter Sheppard. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.
