Roger Gray Horton, Jr., 63, of Martinsville, passed Wednesday, January 8, 2025. He was born October 23, 1961, to Roger G. Sr., and Shirley Mae Brooks Horton. Roger was preceded in death by a daughter, Shannon Michelle Horton.

Roger Jr. was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked at Diamond Electric  Co with his father and later at Walmart. "Jr" was the life of the party and loved to make people laugh. He never met a stranger and had a big heart; always going out of his way to help someone.

In addition to his parents, Roger is survived by two sons: Joshua Gray Martin and Matthew Taylor Horton, brother and sister-in-law, Roger Timothy and Cathy Horton, one sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda H., and Jeff Masters, and one grandchild, Matthew Brandon Hines and a niece, Hannah Horton.

Funeral Services for Roger will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 18, 2025, in Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Carrow, officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services beginning at 11 a.m .

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials may be made to the St Jude's Children Home 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN., 38105
