Robert "Wayne" Thacker, age 80, of Martinsville, passed away on October 30, 2017 at his home. He was born April 8, 1937 in Henry County to the late Buster B. and Julia Mary Bousman Thacker. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Toni Oras Thacker, and his brother, Larry Wade Thacker.

He was a member of Kearfott Memorial Baptist Church, graduated from Martinsville high school and had a degree in drafting. He served in the USAF advancing to the rank of A1C, while stationed in Germany for three years in a sensitive position. He also worked as a draftsman for several local companies.

Mr. Thacker is survived by his sister Shelby Haley of Waynesboro, VA., and numerous other relatives and friends. All services will be private, at a later date.
