Obituary
Robert Swanson Meadors age 77 of Martinsville died Sat. Dec. 7, 2013 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. He was born April 29, 1936 in Martinsville to the late Claude S. and Mamie Daniel Meadors. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his 2 brothers, William Jewel Meadors and Homer Meadors, and his 2 sisters, Mamie Claudine Meadors and Dora Mae Pack.
He was self-employed as a contractor, and attended the Church at Mercy Crossing.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Stella Shupe Meadors of the home, and one daughter Robin Rogers of Martinsville.
The funeral service will be Tuesday Dec. 10, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastors Jackie Poe, Jimmy Wood, and Gary Shupe officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 till time for the service on Tuesday in the Roselawn Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079 Spruce St. Martinsville, VA 24112, or the National Parkinsons Foundation, 7700 Leesburg Pike, Ste 208, Falls Church, VA 22043.
Arrangements are by Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home.
