Robert Jacob "Jake" Thomas, age 43 of Patrick Springs, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was born in Martinsville on April 7, 1974 to the late Robert "Baxter" Thomas and Ellen Gay Sigmon Thomas of Collinsville.

He attended Fieldale Baptist Church and was a member of Fieldale Fire Department since 1992. He had graduated from Fieldale-Collinsville High School, Class of 1992 and He had been the maintenance supervisor for five years with Quikrete.

In addition to his Mother, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Misty Poindexter Thomas of the home, three sons, Skyler, Bentley and Hunter Thomas of the home, a daughter, Sara Thomas of the home, a brother, Teddy Thomas of Stanleytown, and two sisters, Susan Cochran of Greensboro and Linda (George) Powers of Collinsville.

There will be a visitation on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. with a memorial service following the visitation at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Harrison and Rev. David Deisher officiating the service.
