Richard Lee Branch age 66 of Bassett passed away Friday September 26, 2014 at his home. He was born April 10, 1948 in Patrick County to the late John and Alice Foley Branch. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife, Betsy Foley Branch, his son, Richard Bradley Branch, his three brothers, Howard Glen and Bobby Branch, and one sister, Alise McMillan.

Richard had worked at several local businesses before becoming disabled.

Richard is survived by one daughter, Lisa Branch Scott of Lynchburg, three sisters, Shirlene Stoneman of Bassett, Louise Reynolds of Ridgeway, and Barbara Jean Branch, four grandchildren, Christopher Lee Guynn, Austin Bradley Branch, Eli Richard Scott,
And Maria Garris

The memorial service will be Monday at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Leonard Foley officiating. Private inurnment will be at Mount Herman Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Bassett.
