Rachel Robertson Young age 93 of Palmetto Bay, FL, and formerly of Martinsville, passed away Nov. 14, 2017 in Florida. She was born September 23, 1924 in Franklin County, VA to the late Oakie W. and Nannie Smith Robertson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Buford Malcolm Young, two brothers, Gilbert, and Buford Robertson, and one sister, Gloria R. Davis.

Mrs. Young was a member of Starling Avenue Baptist Church, and retired from DuPont with over 35 years service.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Sandra Y. and William O'Malley of Palmetto Bay, FL, one grandson, Ryan O'Malley, one brother, Henry M. Robertson of Rocky Mount, VA, and one sister, Casteen Davis of Redwood, VA.

Her Service of Remembrance will be Tuesday Jan. 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Brian Harrington officiating. The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the service.
