Obituary
Rachel Wood Brown age 87 of Spruce Village, Martinsville, died Sunday Nov. 18, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She was born September 23, 1925 in Craigsville, VA to the late Edward and Antha Strickler Wood. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Robert A. Brown, one brother, Elmer Wood, and two sisters, Carolyn Fravel and Jean Graves.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by three sons, Bobby Brown of Martinsville, Larry Brown of Ridgeway, and Eric Brown of Collinsville, one daughter, Lisa Harris of Martinsville, four grandchildren, five great grand children, and three sisters, Ethel Clear of Martinsville, Helen Harper of Staunton, and Audrey Graham of Covington.
The funeral service will be Wednesday Nov. 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Phillip Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.
Arrangements are by Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home.
