Peggy Lovell Stone age 87 formerly of Martinsville, passed away Monday May 21, 2018 at the Landmark Center in Stuart, VA.  She was born Jan. 8, 1931 in Martinsville to the late Thomas Daniel and Estelle Paris Lovell. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Eugene Stone, and one son, David Randolph Stone.

Peggy was a member of Mount Olivet Christian Church, a graduate of Martinsville High School Class of 1949, a homemaker, and a devoted and loving Mother to her sons.

She is survived by her son Thomas E. Stone and wife Deborah of Collinsville, five grandchildren, Hunter Stone, Jordan Oldham, Haley Stone, Hannah Stone, and Ashley Von Clausburg, and one great grandchild, Chloe Oldham.

Her funeral service will be Thursday May 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday, and on Wednesday May 23 from 6 to 8 PM at the home on 355 Beaver Ridge Road in Collinsville. In lieu of flowers, the Family suggests that you spend time with someone in a nursing home, or extend a kindness to someone in memory of Peggy Stone.
