Rev. Paul Arthur Lewis, age 83 of 3063 Martin Road, Collinsville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 04, 2016. He was born December 04, 1932 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Charles Luther and Alice Catherine Marie Ness Lewis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dale Lewis, Sr., brothers, Charles and Cecil Lewis, and a sister, Shirley Bess.

Rev. Lewis was a minister with the Church of God for over 40 years, and was an ordained Bishop. He was the Minister at The Upper Room Worship Center for 24 years. He was a missionary in Kenya in 1998.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Frances Taylor Lewis of the home, one son and wife Ricky and Diane Lewis, Sr. of Martinsville, one daughter and husband Karen and Danny Shupe of Martinsville, a sister, Hannah Hughes of Collinsville, seven grandchildren, Jennifer Graham of Collinsville, Ronald Lewis, Jr.of Collinsville, Rev. Jason Shupe of Martinsville, Ricky Lewis, Jr. of Ridgeway, Christopher Lewis of Virginia Beach, Danielle Painter of Martinsville, and Brittney Palmer of Martinsville, and ten great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Saturday, May 07, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the Upper Room Worship Center, with Rev. Jason Shupe, Jimmy Wood and Chris Lewis officiating the service. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 06, 2016 from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Upper Room Worship Center. Interment will be private.
