Paul Edward Cannaday, age 96, went Home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, March 24, 2017. He was born April 10, 1920 in Patrick County to the late Steven and Clara Turner Cannaday. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, James, John, Aaron and Riley Cannaday.
Paul retired from American Furniture with 45 years of service. He was a life long member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Paul leaves behind a son, Richard L. Cannaday and wife Barbara, his longtime friend, Mattie C. Belt, his sweet little dog "Angel", Step-Daughter, Joyce Wilder and husband Don, Step-Grandson, David Plaster, Step-Granddaughters, Shayna Wilder Blackwell and husband, Steve, Pat Brown Hunley and husband Alfred "Shot", Step-Great-Grandchildren, Sagen Blackwell, Lori Hunley Adams and Jason Hunley, Step Great-Great-Granchildren, Tyler Adams, Maddie Adams, Lyndsey Plaster, a brother, Victor Cannaday and wife Ann, three sisters, Mary Hodge and husband Homer, Hester Wilson, and Josephine Ferguson, and Many Nieces and Nephews.
His graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Steve Pasley officiating the service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home on Tuesday.
