Patsy Ray Hendricks age 70 of 65 Teresa Drive, Martinsville, died Sunday May 20, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She was born Feb. 1, 1942 in Narrows, VA to the late Leonard Joseph and Nellie Maude Draper Ray. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Gene C. Hendricks in April 2007, two brothers, Sherman E., and Joseph J. Ray, and her two sisters, Nancy Louise Philpott, and Sophia Elaine "Alene" Hopkins.
She was a member of Fairway Baptist Church, and retired from Ridgeway Clocks with over 22 years of service. She was also the owner and operator of Hendricks Mobile Home Court for 33 years.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Ronald E. & Annette Hendricks of Martinsville, daughter and son in law, Teresa H. & Mike Tipton of Martinsville, one brother, Robert E. Ray of Martinsville, two grandsons and their wives, Joseph "Joey" & Deanna Tipton of Martinsville, and Kevin & Chrissy Hendricks of Ridgeway, one granddaughter, Amanda "Mandy" & Matt Turner of Martinsville, two great grandchildren, Peyton M. Turner and Allison Lee "Alee" Tipton both of Martinsville.
The funeral service will be Thursday May 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Gary Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM on Wednesday night May 23, 2012 in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home on 65 Teresa Drive, Martinsville.
