Ovella Marie Vaughn Bell, age 80, of 908 Glade Street, Martinsville, died on April 01, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Martinsville, on January 26, 1934 to the late Ellis Lee and Annie Hollandsworth Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel W. Bell, a daughter, Deborah Bell Cox, brothers, Ellis Vaughn, Jr., Buran Vaughn, and Harry Vaughn and sisters, Ruby Frances Uttt Foster, Irma Elizabeth Utt, Eva Estelle Heckman.

She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church and Marie had worked at the Martinsville Jr. High School for 15 years as a cafeteria worker.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn B. Davis of Martinsville, her son, Jeffrey D. Bell of Martinsville, three brothers, Larry Vaughn, Brogie Vaughn, Johnnie Vaughn and all of Martinsville, a sister, Bessie Chitwood of Martinsville, four Grandchildren, and two Great-Grandchildren.

Her graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Andrew Davis officiating the service. The family will receive friends for one prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home.
