Otis Augustine McCloud, age 77, of 110 Longview Street, Martinsville, died on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at his residence. He was born on February 17, 1934 in Franklin County to the late Foster and Mayova Gillispie McCloud. In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by a son, Barry Keith McCloud, a grandson, Christopher Lee Eanes, three brothers, Junior McCloud, Floyd McCloud and jack McCloud, and two sisters, Louise Shively and Ramona Bower.
He was the owner/operator of the McCloud's Amoco on Liberty Street for over 40 years. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and attended One Accord Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Sigmon McCloud of the home, a son, Rodney McCloud of Henry, two daughters, Kimberly M. Cruise of Bassett and Karen M. Hopkins of Fieldale, two brothers, Ronnie A. McCloud of Bristow, VA and Roger McCloud of Check, VA, five sisters, Emma Jean Farmer, Vivian Jenkins, Novella McDaniel and Bonnie Edwards all of Roanoke, and Violet Reynolds of Penhook, and two grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 02, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the One Accord Baptist Church, Martinsville, with Pastor Phillip Woods officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the One Accord Church from 7:00- 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 01, 2011.
