Ora Mae Pilson Hylton, age 82 of 1117 Brentwood Drive, Collinsville, died on November 13, 2012 at a Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. She was born in Carroll County, Maryland to the late George Abram and Mary Jane Turner Pilson on July 19, 1930. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Lee Hylton in May of this year, six brothers, Joseph Pilson, Levi Pilson, William Pilson, Kyle Pilson, Paul Pilson and Samuel Birch Pilson and two sisters, Mary Ruth Duvall and Bertha Lou Woehlke.
She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for many years before becoming a member of Collinsville Church of the Brethren. She had been a member of several organizations; Daughters of American Revolution and Confederacy, Patrick Henry Allied Families, National Society of U.S. Daughters of 1812, National Society of the Dames of the Court of Honor. She had retired from clerical work with Fieldcrest Mills. She had also earned her CNA degree through Patrick Henry Community College.
She is survived by her daughter, Terri Richardson of Fieldale, three sisters, Dove Cresswell and Myrtle Mobley both of Maryland and Vera Turner of Patrick Springs, two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Pastor Roy McVey officiating the service and interment following in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn.
