Ola Lee Gatewood Lester, age 88 formerly of Collinsville, passed away on July 17, 2017 at the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She was born in Henry County on October 10, 1928 to the late Walter Lee and Ola Hooker Gatewood. She was also preceded in death by her husband David Lester, Sr., her son, David Lester, Jr., her two daughters, Ann Ehly and Teresa Wright, and a sister Effie Snody.

Ola was a member of Hill Memorial Baptist Church and had retired from DuPont with over 36 years of service.

She is survived by two brothers, J.T. (June) Gatewood and Bobby (Thelma) Gatewood and one sister, Betty Gauldin all of Eden, NC, three grandchildren, Tina (Sean) Braziel of Brandywine, MD, Wayne (Amanda) Wright of TN, and Amanda Lester of Fieldale, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held on Friday July 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., in Roselawn Burial Park with Pastor Jack Johnson officiating the service.
