Obituary
Okie Orville Turner age 78, formerly of Fieldale, died Wednesday Feb. 17, 2010 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville. He was born January 1, 1931 in Patrick County to the late Irvin Orrie and Eva Moran Turner. He was predeceased by his parents.
He was of the Baptist faith, and was a retired self-employed brick layer and contractor.
He is survived by his son Barry W. Turner of Bassett, his brother Eldridge B. "E.B." Turner of Martinsville, and one niece.
The funeral service will be Thursday February 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Bill Moss officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations may be made to Hill Memorial Baptist Church, 2359 Appalachian Drive, Martinsville, VA 24112.
Arrangements are by Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home.
