Norman Edward (Ed) Divers, Jr, 79. of Houston, Texas died March 2, 2022 at his home.  He was born May 3, 1942 in Stanleytown, Virginia to Norman Edward Divers, Sr. and Ramie Shelton Divers.  Ed graduated from Bassett High School and attended Virginia Commonwealth University.  His career in trust banking began in Virginia and eventually took him to Charlotte, North Carolina and finally Houston Texas.  He is survived by his wife Meredith Knox Divers, sons Norman Divers, III (Jani), Brad Divers (Wendy), Andrew Phiers (Gabrielle), Sister Mildred Bryson, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  During his 40 years in Houston Ed enjoyed music, seafood, and a fast-paced game of golf at South Shore Harbor and Bay Oaks Country Club.  A graveside service will be determined at a later date.
