Nora Goode Beck, age 75 of 1632 Rivermont Hgts., Martinsville, died on June 05, 2013 at her residence. She was born to Joseph Raymond Goode and Della Starkey Goode on August 21, 1937. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Clarice Cundiff, Vestie Bennett and Cathlene Allison, five brothers, Willie Goode, C.P. Goode, James Goode Albert Goode and Aubrey Goode.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and had been attending Kearfott Memorial Baptist Church. She had worked at DuPont for over ten years and at several vending companies in the area.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby S. Beck of the home, a son and his wife, Jeff and Martha Beck of Ridgeway, two brothers, Raymond Goode of Winston-Salem, NC and Randy Goode of Bassett, a sister, Zora Roberson of Martinsville, two granddaughters and their husbands, Lori and Bill Floyd of Axton and Christy and Jeff Hicks of Danville, and two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Daniel Hicks both of Danville.

The graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Roselawn Burial Park with Rev. Bob Thurman officiating the service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home.
