Nannie Bell Crook Ramsey, age 91, of 185 Cardwell Lane, Martinsville, died on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at her residence. She was born on July 26, 1922 in Endicott, VA to the late Howard W. and Clara West Crook. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her husband Elbert G. Ramsey in 1986 and one grandson, Johnny Ray Wood, and several sisters and brothers. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She retired from DuPont as an Inspectress in 1983, and was a longtime member of Fort Trial Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Robert Joyce of Collinsville and one daughter Clara Jean Wood of Stuart, six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Roselawn with Dr. Joey McNeil officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Roselawn, and at other times at the homes of her son and daughter.
