Nancy Pilson Young, 86, of Martinsville, passed away Monday February 14, 2022, at Sovah Hospital of Martinsville. She was born on November 11, 1935, to the late Fred Dickerson and Pearlie Massey Pilson. She was retired after fifteen years with Hamco and babysit in her home for more then twenty five years. Nancy was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Carlton Young, one brother, Curtis Dickerson Pilson. Surviving are one son, Carlton Lee Young (Meghan) and one daughter, Leisa Payne (Mike), one sister, Judy Carol Baylor (George), five grandchildren; Jayson, Amy, Charla and Joshua Thomason and Marylei Applegate and five great-grandchildren; Dylan, Joshua II, David, and Ember Thomason and Evan Miller. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday February 18, 2022, in the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church 1000 Snow Creek Road, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
