Nancy Jean Draper Hughes age 86, of Kilarney Court in Ridgeway, passed away on Monday April 10, 2017 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. She was born Jan. 8, 1931 in Martinsville to the late Charles Eugene and Nannie Kate Jamison Draper. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sisters, Pauline "Polly" Draper Clarke, and Hazel E. Draper Thompson Griffith, three brothers, Charles B. Draper, Amos David Draper, and Homer E. Draper.

She was a graduate of Martinsville High School, Averett University, and retired from DuPont. She was a member of Wesley Memorial UMC. Nancy loved all sports, played golf, and bowled. She went on many trips, and won numerous trophies and awards for golf and bowling.

Nancy is survived by one brother, Bruce J. "Jimmie" Draper of Charlottesville, seven nephews, Dr. John R. Clarke of NC, Joseph H. Clarke, III of Asheville, NC, Randy W. Thompson and Glen E. Thompson of Wintergreen, VA, Charles A. Thompson of FL, Brion J. Draper of Charlottesville, and Daniel E Draper of Chicago IL., two nieces, Teresa Draper Foley of Collinsville, and Kristina Draper Smith of MD., and many great nieces and nephews.

Her funeralservice will be Thursday April 13, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Tim Gearheart officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
