Nancy Jo Hill Smallwood, age 59, of Martinsville, passed away on March 8, 2017 at the Franklin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Florida on August 4, 1957 to the late Ernest Hill and Delores Fisher Hill. She was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Gossett.

She had worked as the owner-operator, as a dog breeder at Doodlesville.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Steve Smallwood of the home, sons, Dwayne Smallwood of Jacksonville, FL and Shane Smallwood of Rolesville, NC, daughters, Sonja East of Kernersville, NC, Delilah Smallwood of Louisburg, NC, Julia Smallwood and Delia Smallwood both of Youngsville, NC, brother, Timothy Hill of Roanoke, sister, Pattie Cauffiel of Widwest City, OK, and eleven grandchildren.
