Myrtle "Katherine" Wallace Chitwood, age 88, passed away on August 17, 2013. She is survived by her sons, Len Wallace, and Rick Wallace; Brother, Dick Wood; two sisters, Lucille Young and Frances Bledsoe; 3 grandchildren, Melissa Rodgers, Lance Wallace, and Courtney Wallace; and 2 great grandchildren. Katherine had homes in Martinsville and Palm Harbour, FL. Her husband Elwood T. Chitwood predeceased her in 1994. Katherine worked with E I DuPont in Martinsville for 40 years. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. A visitation and viewing will be held at Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home, on Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park.
