Myrtle Powell "Mutt" Minter, age 77, of 267 Sinclair Street, Ridgeway, died on March 25, 2011 at her residence. She was born on March 26, 1933 in Henry County to the late Gid and Sallie Chandler Powell. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one brother, Roy Powell, and two sisters, Thelma U'ren and Doretha Turner.
She was a member of Morgan Ford Christian Church and retired from DuPont.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Joseph Richard "Dick" Minter of the home, two daughters, Punkin Woodell of Myrtle Beach, SC and Shea Evans of Eden, NC, two brothers, George Powell of Lincolnton, NC and Buck Powell of Martinsville, one sister, June Wehunt of Lincolnton, NC, three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Morgan Ford Christian Church with Brother Thomas Joyce officiating.
