Mildred Joyce Pace, age 91, of Ridgeway, went home to be with the Lord on January 4, 2017 at her residence. She was born Jan. 8, 1925 in Sanville to the late Russel and Beadie Tilley Joyce. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Henry C. Pace, Sr., her brother, Allen Joyce and two sisters, Eva Joyce and
Pauline Wynn.

She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, retired from DuPont, worked at several local textile mills, and cooked meals at the Old Country Store for several years.

She is survived by two sons, Henry C. "H.C." Pace, Jr. of Spencer, D. Phillip "Phil" Pace of Bassett, two daughters, Penny P. Wingfield of Statesville, NC, and Sandra P. Herndon of Axton, one sister, Marie Shelton of Madison, NC, thirteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be Monday Jan. 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Doug Ramsey and Rev. Derek Futrell. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. Online condolences may be entered at www.roselawnchapelfuneralhome.com.
