Obituary
Mildred Holland Bennett, age 84, formerly of Mountain Valley Road, Axton, and most recently at the Blue Ridge Nursing Home, Martinsville, died on Wednesday, November 03, 2010 in the Memorial Hospital of Martinsville. She was born on June 6, 1926 in Axton, to the late Norman and Elsie Jones Holland. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Bennett in 1998 and a sister, Dorothy H. Vernon.
She was a member of Axton Baptist Church and had worked for Mitchell-Howell Ford as an office administrator. She graduated from National Business College.
The only survivors of Mrs. Bennett are nieces and nephews.
The graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, November 05, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roselawn Burial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the Axton Baptist Church,173 Mountain Valley Road, Axton, VA 24054 or to the Axton Life Saving Crew, 1200 A.L. Philpott Hwy., Axton, VA 24054.
Arrangements are by Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home.
