Michael James Cole, age 50, of Chatham Road, Martinsville, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Martinsville, on August 26, 1966 to James Whorley Cole and Yvonnne McKinney Cole both of Martinsville.

He was a member of Axton Church of Christ. He had worked for Prillaman and Pace and the YMCA as a driver and had owned/operated Cole's Repair Service.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his daughter, April (John) Compton of Martinsville, a step-son Colin Secrest and a step-daughter, Beverly Secrest, two sisters, Lana Jean Landi and Jennifer Lynn Brooks both of Martinsville, and one grandson, Blake Tyler Compton.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn Funeral Home with Jeff Blankenship officiating the service. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Roselawn.
