Maynard Aaron Joyce age 80 of Martinsville passed away Friday June 22, 2017 at his home. He was born December 19, 1936 in Spencer, VA to the late Moir A., Sr. and Mary Agee Joyce. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Patty Wyatt Joyce, his two brothers, Thomas B. Joyce, and Moir A. Joyce, Jr.

He was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church, and graduated from Fieldale High School, Class of 1957, and was a salesman in the building supply business.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Edna Jefferson Joyce of the home, one daughter, Bonnie Joyce Gregory of Chester, VA, one sister Mary Anne Fry of SC, two grandsons, Ryan Andrew Gregory of Colonial Heights, VA, Christopher Paul Gregory of Chesterfield, VA, three great granddaughters, Reagan Elizabeth Gregory, McKinley Ryan Gregory, and Addison Taylor Gregory all of Colonial Heights, VA, twelve step grandchildren, and twelve step great grandchildren.

His funeral service will be Tuesday June 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastors Tim Wood, and Lawrence Harris officiating. Entombment will follow in the Roselawn Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday June 26, 2017 in the Roselawn Chapel.
