Masie Robertson Miller age 80 of Axton, died Friday January 11, 2013 at Blue Ridge Rehab Center in Martinsville. She was born September 17, 1932 in Axton to the late D.M., Jr. and Lottie Ann Davis Robertson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Vernon Hooper Miller, Jr. in 2011.

She was a graduate of Radford University where she received a degree in Education, and went on to the University of Virginia and received her Masters Degree. She retired as a school teacher from the Beltsville Maryland School System, and attended Carroll Memorial United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two brothers, Raleigh Jackson Robertson, Sr. and D.M. "Moses" Robertson, III, both of Axton, and nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

The funeral service will be Sunday Jan. 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Rev. Anne Sisson officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.
