Mary Elizabeth Booker Spears age 93 passed away on Friday May 27, 2016 at Stanleytown Health and Rehab. She was born March 10, 1923 in Henry County to the late Henry and Minnie Snow Booker. She was also predeceased by her husband, S.B. Spears in June 2001 after 59 years of marriage.

She is survived by her son, Steve "Mike" Spears of Bassett, her daughter, Connie G. Fritts of Richmond, VA, two grandsons, Michael Keith Spears, Richard "Ricky" McDaniel, three great grandsons, Brandon & Cody Spears, and Austin McDaniel, and several nieces and nephews. Mary was an inspiration to many at the healthcare center because of her wonderful sense of humor, and great laugh. She had a zest for life and will be missed by many.

Her funeral service will be Tuesday May 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Chapel with Pastor Alvin Joe Nunley officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel.
