Mary Fisher Pittman age 96, formerly of Martinsville, passed away Friday Sept. 5, 2014 in South Boston, VA. She was born Sept 15, 1917 in Callaway, VA to the late Berkley G. and Addie Nash Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Garel Lee Pittman in 1986, two daughters, Margaret Pittman and Nancy Wyatt, and four brothers, Roy, B.G., Frank, and Herman Fisher.

She was a graduate of Callaway High School, and was a member of Callaway Baptist Church. She had formerly worked at Bassett Walker when she lived in Martinsville.

She is survived by one son and daughter in law, David and Linda Pittman of South Boston, one daughter and son in law, Sue and Bobby Jones of Rome, GA, one sister and brother in law, Eva and Ray Wooldridge of Roanoke, VA, nine grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Wednesday Sept. 10, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Roselawn Chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the Roselawn Chapel, and at other times at the home of David and Linda Pittman of 427 Valley Drive, South Boston, VA
